DENVER (KDVR) — A New York City man will spend half a decade in Colorado prison after he was convicted of stabbing the boyfriend of a “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise” contestant.
On Wednesday, a Douglas County judge sentenced 42-year-old Carlos Vega Jr., of New York City, to five years in the Department of Corrections for a violent incident at a Lone Tree bar. Vega was convicted in September of second-degree assault and two counts of menacing, according to Colorado’s 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

The prosecutor’s office said that the matter started on July 11, 2021, at the Clock Tower Grill near Lone Tree, when Vega’s girlfriend “unexpectedly licked the face of a stranger, Jessica Edwards.”
Edwards has since starred as a contestant on the 28th season of “The Bachelor,” which premiered in January 2024, and recently appeared on the 10th season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” which premiered in July of this year…
