JeffCo Sheriffs arrest man on suspicion of first-degree murder after victim shot in head during road rage incident

Jefferson County Sheriffs Office deputies arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after he allegedly shot someone in the head on U.S. Hwy 285 earlier this week.

Matthew Impellitteri, 56, faces two counts of criminal attempt first-degree murder after deliberation and two counts of criminal attempt first-degree murder — extreme indifference for allegedly shooting the passenger of a black SUV in the head during a road rage incident near Morrison Tuesday night, according to a Friday news release from JCSO.

The passenger, identified by the family as Kassi Moy, was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery for the wound, authorities said. She’s still in critical condition…
