1 dead in multi-vehicle crash on I-25 north near I-70: Denver police

DENVER (KDVR) — A person was pronounced dead at a crash scene on northbound Interstate 25 near 44th Avenue, the Denver Police Department announced Friday night.

The crash occurred at about 8 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-25. Denver police said the crash involved “multiple” vehicles.

A FOX31 employee in the area of the crash saw at least four vehicles that appeared to have been involved in the crash.

At about 10:30 p.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation announced that all northbound lanes of I-25 had been closed between exit 213: Park Avenue and Interstate 70 at milepost 213.5.

There was still a large police presence in the area as of 10:30 p.m. It’s unclear when the roadway may reopen to traffic. The I-25 northbound express lanes remained open to northbound traffic as of 10:30 p.m…
