Denver commuters waste more time, money in traffic than the rest of the US: Report

DENVER (KDVR) — Americans are no strangers to traffic, and Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s latest Urban Mobility Report shows congestion in U.S. cities is just getting worse.

Denver isn’t exempt from that trend, as the city saw 10% more traffic delays in 2024 than 2023, according to the report. In fact, Denver has some of the worst delay and congestion numbers of the cities included in the report.

The report looks at data such as total delay hours for drivers, average time in traffic for commuters, how much driving time traffic adds to trips and even how much money drivers waste in traffic…
