Will Denver see its first snow this week?

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver currently has one of the latest snowfalls in history, but snow on the forecast could make its way to the city this week, although meteorologists have doubts it will be measurable.

The average first snowfall in Denver usually lands on Oct. 18, however, this year, the first snowfall is delayed, leaving Denver among the top three latest snowfalls in the city’s history. However, the no snow streak, which has lasted more than 200 days, could come to an end with a storm on the forecast.

Denver had nearly half the average winter’s worth of snow during this time in 2024

The Pinpoint Weather team is tracking a storm coming in on Thursday and lasting through Friday that could leave a few inches of snow in the mountains, with the foothills seeing some snow and the Palmer Divide potentially getting a coat of snow.

However, in Denver, meteorologists aren’t as confident.
