AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — Often, the first thing you get when you sit down at a restaurant is a greeting and a glass of water. But if you’re eating out in Aurora, one of those two courtesies may be going away.
Monday, the city council passed a resolution asking restaurants to only give out a glass of water if the customer asks for it. The idea is that if a customer doesn’t want the water, it won’t be dumped down the drain.

At A Bit Twisted Brewery & BBQ, co-owner Michael Richie says greeting a customer with a glass of water is pretty common.
“We’ll bring a pitcher to the table if that’s what it takes,” said Richie. “If not, then we’ll just bring them another beer.”…
