Westminster police arrest two in connection with million-dollar pawn shop robbery scheme

Westminster police arrested two people Wednesday in connection with a million-dollar pawn shop robbery scheme in Arapahoe County.

The two people — Sergey Nikloaev, 54, and Stanislav Anisimov, 59 — were employees of the Aurora Gold Buyer pawnshop at the 8000 block of East Mississippi Avenue, which detectives linked to hundreds of theft and robbery incidents throughout the Denver metro area, according to a news release from the Westminster Police Department.

Five other employees — Dmitry Altshuler, 42, Dzianis Artyushkevich, 35, Ivan Biazliudau, 42, Ion Buzdugan, 40, Radyon Niyazov, 65 — remain at large, according to the release. All connected to the scheme face charges of money laundering, theft and violations of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act.
