DENVER (KDVR) — With less than a week until Thanksgiving, the holiday shopping season is well underway for many. Still, a new store with nostalgic roots is opening at Denver Premium Outlets will provide a retail toy shopping opportunity starting Saturday.
On Saturday, Toys”R”Us is opening a flagship store in Thornton, located at the Denver Premium Outlets on Grant Street. The 10,000 square-foot store marks the return of the once-dominant toy retailer, after its ownership, Go Retail Group, announced plans earlier this year to expand its retail store locations in the U.S.

The Toys”R”Us brand filed for bankruptcy in 2017 and was liquidated and sold to WHP Global in the years following. In 2024, the parent company began rolling out its plan for nationwide stores, announcing it would place “a new retail experience” at airports and on cruises.
