AURORA, Colo. — Thanksgiving is days away and Christmas only a few weeks behind. As the holidays bring joy for some, they can also be challenging for many navigating tough issues like depression and grief.

That’s especially concerning here in Colorado. For years the state has marked one of the highest rates of suicide in the country, according to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention data.
