DENVER (KDVR) — A would-be burglar spent a “whole lotta work for nothin’” after an attempted break in at a Commerce city ATM using a blowtorch.
The Commerce City Police Department called the move a “rather bold approach” as the masked person tried to break into the ATM at the Community Credit Union on East 72nd Street on Oct. 22.

“But it’s all smoke and flames and no cash; his attempt to burgle the bank is unsuccessful as the ATM can’t be burned into submission,” police said.
