Father and son arrested, accused of killing 2 while street racing; affidavit points to DUI

DENVER (KDVR) — A father and his son are facing charges for alleged street racing in a deadly crash earlier this month.

The Lakewood Police Department announced Tuesday that it had arrested 65-year-old Gregory Mark Giles and 26-year-old Bryce Anneaus Giles after they turned themselves in. Both men are facing charges in the crash, including vehicular homicide, and details of the crash investigation came to light with an arrest affidavit obtained by FOX31 on Wednesday.

According to the police affidavit, the Lakewood Police Department and West Metro Fire Rescue were dispatched just after 9 p.m. on Nov. 13 to the intersection of West Mississippi Avenue and South Kipling Parkway, where they found three vehicles involved in a crash, one of which was on fire.
