Family grieving after father, 3 kids killed in crash with stolen car; 2 more kids hospitalized

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) – A Colorado family facing an unimaginable loss is finding ways to stay strong after a crash with a stolen car killed a father and three children and left two other children seriously injured.

The Colorado State Patrol says the driver of a Toyota hatchback reported stolen from Aurora lost control just before 4:40 p.m. Monday on Highway 83 near Franktown, crashing into another car head-on. The driver of the stolen car, a 31-year-old man from Denver, was ejected in the crash and died at the scene.

The other car involved was being driven by a 35-year-old father from Colorado Springs, according to troopers. His five passengers were all children, ranging in age from 8 to 14…
