One of America’s hottest ZIP codes this month is in the Denver metro: Data

DENVER (KDVR) — Although Texas takes the cake when it comes to the hottest ZIP codes in the U.S. for new residents in November, a Denver metro ZIP code is also heating up.

MovingPlace released its November report on the hottest ZIP codes by examining October migration data. This month’s report shows that a section of Aurora is gaining a large number of new residents.

The moving company assesses “hotness” in three ways: The number of moves with a destination in the ZIP code per 1,000 people, the absolute number of moves, and ZIP codes with the largest jumps in moving activity compared to previous months. However, the primary assessment is conducted through moves per capita.

The hottest zip code, under MovingPlace’s criteria, was Dale, Texas, which is seeing 15.2 moves per 1,000 residents. Listed below are the top ten hottest zip codes in America for November, when assessed by moves per capita.

Aurora’s 80019 ZIP code had the fourth-most moves per capita, which could be due to the “surge of new home and mixed-use development,” according to the report, which has made it a “magnet for newcomers looking for modern communities, green space, and convenient access to a bustling metro.”…
