Broomfield has the highest rate of domestic violence fatalities per 100,000 people among Colorado’s 12 urban counties, according to a report from the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
It’s a report which Broomfield’s district attorney said should alarm the community.
The city and county’s domestic violence fatality rate for 2024 was 2.60 per 100,000 people, according to the report. Broomfield’s rate is the highest among the counties classified as urban, with Denver being the second highest at 1.96 fatalities.
