Watch: Aurora police share footage of stolen-car pursuit crash, ID 2 people killed

AURORA (KDVR) — Aurora police released new details Wednesday about a short pursuit Monday that ended in a crash, killing two people inside a stolen vehicle.

The crash occurred around noon at the intersection of East Alameda Avenue and South Peoria Street.

Newly released city traffic camera footage shows patrol vehicles with their lights activated following a stolen four-door sedan. The video shows the sedan weaving through traffic before taking a sharp turn and slamming into a light pole. The impact shakes the camera, which then tilts down to reveal the wrecked vehicle wrapped around the pole. The two people inside the car died at the scene.

Aurora police identified them as Sheena Fuentes, 41, and Manuel Tovar, 52. Police say Fuentes had been arrested in October after acting as a getaway driver in a homicide case. Police say Tovar had more than 70 arrests over the last 30 years…
