The gold may be gone, but the fever remains for Colorado prospectors

DENVER (KDVR) — One short hop over the bridge at Steele Street Park and you’ve taken a giant leap back into Colorado history. These are the prospectors from the Gold Prospectors Association of America.

Roger Schlenger started panning for gold as a means to make a few bucks.

“I like the shiny stuff,” said Schlenger.
