DENVER (KDVR) — High winds are impacting drivers in Colorado on Tuesday as gusts as high as 90 mph have prompted some road closures and knocked over some semi trailers.
The Pinpoint Weather team is expecting winds between 80-90 mph in the mountains and 60-75 mph at the base of the foothills and the northern plains. Wind warnings are in effect until midnight.

Before noon, the wind had already blown some vehicles over. The Livermore Fire Protection District posted about two separate semi trailers that blew over and crashed on highways.
One of the crashes was located on U.S. Highway 287 at Colorado Road 76H, and the other was also on U.S. 287 near mile marker 377…
