Denver Police Officers Praised for Assisting Elderly Man Amidst Elevator Outage

In a display of community policing that goes beyond the call of duty, two Denver Police Officers took it upon themselves to alleviate some hardship for an elderly resident. According to a social media post from the Denver Police Department, on November 29, Officers Newton and Cao from District 2 encountered an 82-year-old man facing a daunting climb to his seventh-floor apartment, after the elevators in his building had failed.

The elevators had reportedly been out of service for two days, a significant impediment for the senior citizen who had just returned with groceries and was faced with the impossible task of scaling seven flights of stairs.
