Driver faces DUI charge after crash into unmarked Aurora police vehicle

DENVER (KDVR) — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing into an unmarked Aurora police vehicle that was stopped with a K9 officer inside on Tuesday night.

The Aurora Police Department said Wednesday that the man, identified as 50-year-old Victor Balderas-Castellanos, ran a stop sign prior to crashing into the unmarked police vehicle while it was stopped at Del Mar Circle and Kenton Street at about 8:07 p.m.

Balderas-Castellanos was arrested on charges of DUI, careless driving, failing to yield, driving without a valid license and no insurance, according to APD.
