The new year did not kick off smoothly for one Denver metro area driver, who was slapped with a hefty speeding ticket and something more. In a recent post by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, a male driver, aged 26, found himself under arrest after barreling down E. Quincy Avenue at speeds that would make your head spin, if not for the sobering outcome.
Deputy Conta, a member of the Traffic Safety Unit, was on the lookout for speedsters when his radar caught the Honda CR-V hurtling along at a breakneck 90 mph in a 40 mph zone. The social media post from Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office stressed, “A speeding ticket is a rough way to start the new year, but going 50 mph over the speed limit is another level.”…
