‘He’s my baby’: Golden-area family pleads for help finding stolen dog

GOLDEN, Colo. (KDVR) — A Jefferson County family is flying home from halfway across the world to make a desperate search for their stolen dog.

The dog, named Bugsy, was taken on Friday from a home on Crabapple Road in the Applewood area, according to the family. They said he was last seen near a King Soopers grocery store off 32nd Avenue later that day.

Bugsy’s owners, Jaclyn Tracy and her husband, were traveling in Asia when they received a call that their dog was missing. Tracy said they immediately cut their trip short and began the journey back to Denver.

“Immediately, I just started crying, and I was like, ‘How do we find him? What do we do? Do we cancel our trip?’” Tracy said.
