Noodles & Co. (Broomfield, Colo.) said it plans to shutter 30-to-35 more restaurants this year, as it continues rid itself of underperforming locales. That announcement comes on the heels of the chain closing 33 company-owned restaurants and nine franchise ones in 2025.
The company detailed those closings in a news release on its preliminary results for its fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, which saw its system-wide comparable sales increase by 6.6%.
“Decisions [to close restaurants] are made thoughtfully and with a long-term view of the business,” said President and CEO Joe Christina. “Our fourth quarter results reinforce that when we concentrate our resources on restaurants with the strongest opportunity to perform, Noodles can drive meaningful top-line growth.”…
