FBI arrests Colorado bank robbery book author for bank robbery

It’s a story that writes itself; in fact, it was one he had already written.

Charles Martinez, 48, a man who documented his experience as a bank robber and member of a prison gang in the book “The Life of an Outlaw,”was arrested by the FBI on Jan. 8 in connection with a Denver bank robbery, according to a social media post from the agency.

Martinez, captured on surveillance footage wearing an orange construction jacket and a grey beanie, allegedly robbed a U.S. Bank location in the 700 block of Colorado Boulevard at around 9:40 a.m. on Jan. 5, according to the post.
