Frigid temperatures have settled into the Denver area on Friday, bringing with them a chance for snow over the next few days.
The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect a high temperature of 15 degrees in Denver on Friday as an arctic airmass settles over the area. That’s about 29 degrees colder than the average high temperature for Jan. 23 in Denver.
The coldest Denver has ever seen for its high temperature on Jan. 23 is 11 degrees, set back in 1962, according to weather service data.
