New Lone Tree restaurant temporarily closes after fire just 2 weeks after opening

LONE TREE, Colo. (KDVR) — A newly opened restaurant in Lone Tree is temporarily closing after a fire broke out inside the building late Thursday night.

Jack’s restaurant had only been open for about two weeks when South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a fire alarm activation around 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 22.

“When our first arriving crew arrived on scene, they located smoke on the second floor,” said Matthew Assell, a public information officer with South Metro Fire Rescue. “Upon further investigation, they located the seat of the fire inside of a wall. Pretty deep back up in that second floor.”

Fire officials say the fire was hidden from the outside and had to be accessed by cutting into the wall. The fire was later determined to be accidental…
