DENVER (KDVR) — A man is facing charges of sexual assault after police said a woman was attacked while she was walking on the High Line Canal Trail in May 2025.
On Tuesday, the Aurora Police Department Sex Crimes Unit arrested Jack Khaidav, 21, of Aurora, on charges of sexual assault after a community tip came in through the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.

This stems from a case where the Aurora Police Department said officers responded to a “violent assault” around 6:30 a.m. on May 8, 2025, at Expo Park. The woman told officers that she was walking on the High Line Canal Trail when she was attacked from behind by an unknown man. She said she fought off the man and warned other nearby women.
