WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A Macaroni Grill restaurant in Westminster shut down last week after failing to pay sales taxes, leaving employees without warning and scrambling for their final paychecks, according to city officials and former workers.
The City of Westminster closed the restaurant after the business became delinquent on sales taxes in November 2025, when it failed to pay taxes from October. The city issued three written notices, made weekly phone calls and provided a final five-day deadline before authorizing the closure, according to city officials.
