Denver Police Department officers arrested a teenager Wednesday in connection with fatally shooting a girl in the head the day before.
Jasirr Simmons, 18, faces first-degree murder charges after he allegedly shot and killed a girl in a bedroom of a residence in the 5500 block of North Tucson Street, according to a news release and arrest documents provided by the DPD.
Officers first responded to reports of a self-inflicted gunshot wound just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the documents.
