Cat rescued after stranded on energy pole for nearly a week

DENVER (KDVR) — Meows could be heard from one Aurora, Colorado, neighborhood as residents tried for nearly a week to rescue a cat, Chato, that was stuck on a power line pole. Thankfully, the cat was rescued after five days ontop of the pole.

Nely Aguilera said she was moving in on Sunday when her two cats escaped through the door. She was able to wrangle one of them, but Chato kept escaping her grasp. Aguilera had to leave for work, and even came back at one point, but had no luck. By night and into the next day, she couldn’t find Chato.

That is, until he was spotted perched on top of a nearby power line pole. However, getting a cat from the tall spot isn’t as easy as just calling the fire department…
