Former park ranger accused of stabbing hoax to get psychological evaluation

DENVER (KDVR) — A former park ranger is set to receive a psychological evaluation ahead of his arraignment after he was accused of a stabbing hoax at Staunton State Park in August 2025.

Callum Heskett, 26, appeared in court on Monday morning for his arraignment, where he is accused of a stabbing hoax and facing multiple misdemeanor and felony charges. The arraignment was ultimately pushed back for a psychological evaluation.

FOX31’s Courtney Fromm was in court, where she said Heskett’s attorney asked for the hearing to be pushed back two weeks for an evaluation. The judge confirmed with Fromm that there will be a psychological evaluation.
