DENVER (KDVR) — It’s expected to be warm in Denver this week, but the mountains could see several inches of snow by Friday.
The mountains have seen an unusually warm winter with the lowest snowpack on record. While there have been a few storms that brought in some feet to the ski areas, Colorado ski areas are still struggling to open all the trails in the mountains.
However, the Pinpoint Weather team is tracking an incoming storm that is expected to bring several inches of snow to some areas of Colorado.
Timing
The Pinpoint Weather team said starting Wednesday, and through Friday, there will be more snow in the northern and central mountains.

The week starts in the 60s, but Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Greg Perez said snow showers will move into the high country on Wednesday, with some rain showers in Denver on Wednesday night.
The Pinpoint Weather team said there’s a chance for a few light rain and snow showers on Thursday and into Friday.
Totals
Snow is expected to fall in the mountains, as far east as Georgetown.
Here are the expected snow totals as of Monday:
- Aspen: 9 inches
- Steamboat Springs: 8 inches
- Eagle: 7 inches
- Telluride: 5 inches
- Denver: 0 inches
Perez said there likely won’t be snow in Denver, but if the moisture comes in early on Thursday, the snow may mix with rain, but it would be more of a wintry mix if anything…
