A man was arrested on suspicion of assault after he allegedly dragged two Thornton police officers with his vehicle during an otherwise routine traffic stop.
Wesley Norton, 27, was charged with assault, reckless driving and obstructing a peace officer after he dragged two police officers “several yards” during a traffic stop near West 88th Avenue and Huron Street just after 2 a.m. on Feb. 3, according to a Wednesday social media post from the Thornton Police Department.
Officers first responded to the scene of what they said was an occupied suspicious vehicle that did not have license plates, according to the post.
