I-70 reopens between Silverthorne and Denver following multiple crashes

8 p.m.: The closure has been lifted, and all roads are reopened in Summit County.

5:45 p.m.: Interstate 70 Eastbound is closed at the Eisenhower Tunnel due to multiple crashes at mile marker 223 and adverse road conditions. U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass is also closed eastbound.

The closure for I-70 is between Silverthorne’s Exit 205 and mile point 223 near Stevens Gulch. Traffic cameras show bumper-to-bumper traffic at Exit 205 near Silverthorne and near Stevens Gulch, east of the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels, as of 6 p.m. Traffic is expected to be heavy over the Presidents Day holiday weekend…
