A juvenile girl is in custody after a stabbing on the 1500 block of North Grant Street in Denver on Sunday that left two people in the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Prosecutors in the Denver District Attorney’s Office will decide what charges, if any, the suspect will ultimately face.

“Investigators have arrested a juvenile female in connection with this stabbing incident,” the Denver Police Dept. wrote on X in a brief public update, adding that detectives are still working to sort out what led up to the attack.
In a follow-up reply, the department said the assault occurred in the 1500 block of North Grant Street and that two victims were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening wounds, according to the Denver Police Dept. Police also reminded residents that anyone with information can call 720-913-2000 for non-emergency police services or dial or text 911 in an emergency.
According to the Denver District Attorney’s Office, juvenile arrests are typically handled in the juvenile justice system, although prosecutors have limited authority to pursue adult charges in serious felony cases.
