COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Two men have been arrested and are accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from businesses across the Denver Metro area over the past several months.
Commerce City Police said Brian Romero and Angel Villalovos-Flores were arrested Friday and are suspected of burglarizing six businesses in the city. They’re also potentially responsible for nearly three dozen burglaries across the state, Commerce City Police said in a release.
The burglaries began in late November and occurred as recently as this month. Detectives believe the men were using stolen vehicles to get to the predominantly Hispanic-owned businesses, and then pried or rammed the doors to gain entry. They stole safes, broke into ATMs, and in one case even tampered with laundry machines to access the money inside them, police said…
