1 dead after house fire in Aurora

AURORA, Colo. — One person is dead after a house fire in north Aurora on Wednesday.

Just after 2 p.m., Aurora Fire received multiple 911 calls for a structure fire near East 21st Avenue and North Altura Boulevard. When firefighters arrived to the scene, they saw smoke and flames coming from a single story structure, Aurora Fire said.

Firefighters began to attack the fire and found an adult victim inside the home, according to Aurora Fire. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. In an update on Thursday, Aurora Fire confirmed the victim died from their injuries…
