Broomfield driver arrested for going 41 miles per hour over speed limit

DENVER (KDVR) — A driver in Broomfield was arrested after he was caught going 41 miles per hour over the speed limit on Friday, according to a social media post from the Broomfield Police Department.

On Friday, just before 2:30 p.m., a Broomfield officer conducted a traffic stop after clocking a driver traveling at 86 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone near the intersection of West 160th Avenue and Huron Street.

The officer also said that while driving at that speed, the driver attempted to cross the double yellow lines to pass another vehicle.
