LONE TREE, Colo. (KDVR) — Law enforcement agencies across the southern Denver metro corridor are teaming up to tackle dangerous driving along Interstate 25.
On Wednesday, Feb. 25, the Colorado State Patrol, Lone Tree Police, Greenwood Village Police, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a coordinated traffic enforcement operation aimed at slowing drivers down and reducing crashes.

Last year alone, troopers responded to 102 crashes, including three deadly crashes in the I-25 corridor between mileposts 164 and 179. Troopers said unsafe speeds, lane violations and distracted driving continue to be the leading causes of serious crashes.
