THORNTON, Colo. (KDVR) — One day after a fast-moving grass fire tore through Thornton, the scale of destruction at a specialty auto restoration shop is coming into focus.
Owners of Rol Race Motorsports say roughly 150 vehicles were destroyed when flames swept across a field and reached their property. The shop itself was spared, but the vehicles stored outside — many restoration projects — were reduced to twisted metal and ash.

“It may look like just a junkyard and battlefield at this point, but these were people’s dream cars,” owner Jason Rol said.
