Lakewood Party Bloodshed: Judge Drops 25-Year Hammer On Teen’s Killers

What started as a late-night house party in Lakewood has ended with decades in prison for two young men and a permanent loss for one family.

Jefferson County District Court Judge Russell Klein on Wednesday sentenced Philix Baca and Anthony Allen to 25 years in state prison each for their roles in the 2024 shooting that killed 14-year-old Francisco “Cisco” Laqui. The case began after a house-party shooting left Laqui critically wounded, and he later died from his injuries.

According to a press release from the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, the gunfire broke out just before 4 a.m. on April 13, 2024, near 1165 Garrison Street. Two vehicles pulled up to a vacation-rental party, an argument escalated and shots were fired. Prosecutors say Allen fired a .22-caliber round that struck Laqui in the head while Baca and another man also opened fire as the vehicles sped away…
