DENVER (KDVR) — Tina Peters was found not guilty of assault during an altercation with another inmate at the La Vista Correctional Facility in January, the Colorado Department of Corrections said on Tuesday.
On Jan. 18, a spokesperson for the department told FOX31 that Peters and another inmate were involved in an incident that prompted an administrative investigation. Surveillance footage at the facility showed Peters attempting to push a large cart into a room before exiting the room with her hands on another inmate’s neck, while the other inmate was trying to shove Peters’ hands off. The two separated, and Peters went back to trying to move the cart into the room.

A formal hearing was conducted on March 10, where the Colorado Department of Corrections said it determined that Peters was not guilty of a Class I, Rule 5 violation for assault on an offender, after a comprehensive investigation reviewed the evidence…
