DENVER (KDVR) — A local family is suing the Urban Air Adventure Park in Denver after their 7-year-old daughter fell 20 feet and broke her spine. They claim employees didn’t properly secure the girl in a harness.
“This is like a lifetime, lifelong injury that Urban Air does not care about because we signed a waiver,” Alyssa Lopez said.

Alyssa Lopez and Attorney Tim Garvey with Dormer Harpring, LLC, walked FOX31 through what happened on July 5, 2022, and how 7-year-old Avery went to Urban Air Adventure Park in Denver for a birthday party, and ended up rushed out on a stretcher with serious injuries: a broken spine, broken arm, and the lawsuit claims, severe emotional trauma.
The documents claim that at the time of the incident, Urban Air Adventure Park had understaffed an attraction called the “Leap of Faith,” and failed to follow their own operations manual, which requires staff to physically check each patron’s harness and assist with connecting safety equipment…
