Denver Parking Garage Collapse Traps Dozens of Cars on S. Yosemite St.

A parking garage in the 3600 block of S. Yosemite Street in Denver collapsed on Monday, trapping dozens of vehicles under crumbled concrete. The incident has left car owners like Jennifer Burgess in shock, as her Silver Ford Escape was among the damaged vehicles.

Denver’s Community Planning and Development team stated that it may take several days to secure the garage for vehicle retrieval. The structure’s owner, SF Partners, has been ordered to obtain an emergency shoring permit, with inspections to follow by a Colorado-licensed structural engineer and a CPD building inspector.
