DENVER (KDVR) — As Colorado faces drought conditions after one of the driest winters on record, experts are encouraging residents to use water-wise landscaping and native plants to help conserve water and avoid water restrictions, which are already in place in Denver.

Denver issued a mandatory water restriction that will impact how often residents can water plants outdoors, and several other water providers around the state have said they are considering similar restrictions.
