Aurora Cops Hunt Stabbing Suspect After 2 A.M. Street Attack

A man was stabbed during an attempted robbery in northwest Aurora in the early hours of March 19, and police are now asking residents and business owners to help them track down the attacker. Investigators say the assault happened around 2 a.m. near East 12th Avenue and Yosemite Street, and the suspect took off running on foot.

What police say

According to a post from the Aurora Police Department, the stabbing and attempted robbery happened near the intersection of East 12th Avenue and Yosemite Street at about 2 a.m. on March 19. The suspect was last seen running south past several businesses in the 1100 block of Yosemite Street.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 20s with a thin build, brown hair and a clean-shaven face. He was reportedly dressed in all black clothing and wearing distinctive green, white and black Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Lucky Green” shoes. Detectives with the Robbery Investigative Unit say they want to hear from anyone who recognizes the man or the shoes.
