Family seeks answers after 7-year-old bitten by dog in Jefferson County neighborhood

LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — A Jefferson County family is asking for the public’s help after they said their seven-year-old daughter was bitten by a dog, and the person walking that dog left the scene without providing any information.

The incident happened on April 1 in the Summit Ridge at West Meadows neighborhood near Littleton, according to the family.

“It was a very upsetting incident, you know, there is blood on our front porch from it, and it was very clear she was in obvious pain, and she was just left,” said Elizabeth McAteer, a Littleton resident and family member.
