Plane suffered ‘substantial’ damage after hitting de-icing trucks at Denver airport

DENVER — A new report details how a United Airlines plane struck two de-icing trucks at Denver International Airport (DIA) last month.

The accident happened just after 10 a.m. on March 6. According to the NTSB report, the plane hit the de-icing trucks while taxiing out of the de-icing pad at DIA.

The airplane, which was set to depart for Nashville, sustained substantial damage, but no one on board was hurt. One de-icing agent suffered minor injuries…
