DENVER — A man who was fatally shot this week in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood appears to have been randomly targeted, multiple witnesses told Denver Police.
Kaylen Stroter, 22, faces a first-degree murder charge related to the shooting on Thursday in the 1100 block of 32nd Street. Officers initially responded to the area for an assault. According to a probable cause statement for Stroter’s arrest, someone called 911 shortly before 1 p.m. and reported hearing a woman screaming for a man to get off of her. Multiple other people called 911 and said they saw a man with a gun, and then heard a gunshot.
One of those callers said the man “shot someone random.”…
