A fugitive wanted on escape and violent crime charges is back in custody after a coordinated takedown in Lakewood on Tuesday. Officers tracked Manuel Bargas to the area near 16th and Fenton, where he was arrested following a joint operation, according to law enforcement posts. The arrest drew in the U.S. Marshals Service’s Colorado Violent Offender Task Force along with Lakewood police, the Denver County Sheriff’s Office, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, with West Metro SWAT providing tactical support at the scene.
