DENVER (KDVR) — PNC Bank on Monday announced it will lay off nearly 800 employees at the former FirstBank headquarters in Lakewood after PNC acquired the Colorado-based FirstBank.
A WARN notice sent to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s Employment & Training Division announced PNC would lay off about 777 employees at the office building at 12345 West Colfax Avenue that previously housed FirstBank to “reduce its workforce.” The layoffs are set to start at the end of June.
The notice was also sent to Lakewood Mayor Wendi Strom, and the city in a statement to FOX31 said it was working with state and county partners to “deploy rapid response services for employees affected by these potential layoffs across the state.”…
